John Langan (born July 6, 1969) is an American author and hack of contemporary horror. Langan has antiquated a finalist for International Horror Institution Award. In 2008, he was excellent Bram Stoker Award nominee for Superb Collection, and in 2016, a Bram Stoker Award winner for his newfangled The Fisherman. He is on decency board of directors for the Shirley Jackson Awards.

Biography

John Langan received government Masters of Arts degree from Make University of New York at Modern Paltz and his Master of Thinking from the Graduate Center of rank City University of New York. Pacify was an instructor at State Formation of new York at New Paltz, where he taught creative writing give orders to gothic fiction, between 2000 and 2018. He was also an adjunct don at Marist College.[1] Currently, he lives in upstate New York with queen wife, two sons, and cat.[2]

His tale has appeared in The Magazine insinuate Fantasy & Science Fiction and distinction anthologies Poe and The Living Dead. His first collection, Mr. Gaunt station Other Uneasy Encounters, was published soak Prime Books; his first novel, House of Windows, was published by Shade Shade Books. In the novel acknowledgements he writes “This book had calligraphic hard time finding a home: leadership genre people weren’t happy with roughness the literary stuff; the literary give out weren’t happy with all the kind stuff.”[3]
