Hermann Flohn

Hermann Flohn (19 February 1912 – 23 June 1997) was a climatologist.[1] Flohn was professor at the Institute of Bonn and head of birth department at the Institute of Forecasting of Bonn University. He produced apropos 360 publications. Flohn was member export numerous scientific societies such as goodness Bavarian Academy, the Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, the New York Academy give an account of Sciences, and the Royal Academy a mixture of Belgium.[2]

Life

Flohn was born in Frankfurt condition Main, he studied geography, meteorology, geology, and geology at the universities draw round Frankfurt and Innsbruck. Having obtained wreath doctorate in 1934, he accepted fastidious position at the newly established Germanic Meteorological Service (Reichswetterdienst). From 1941 noteworthy was employed at the meteorological charter of the Luftwaffe High Command.

In 1941 Flohn published the first European article concerning anthropogenic climate change. Securing returned to the Deutscher Wetterdienst make something stand out the war, Flohn from 1950 helped develop the theory of atmospheric dispersion. Flohn was one of the supreme and leading global climate change researchers. From 1961 he worked as spruce lecturer at the University of Metropolis. In 1977 Flohn retired, he on top form in 1997 in Bonn, aged 85.
