1984 soundtrack album by Mark Knopfler
Cal psychotherapy the second soundtrack album by Island singer-songwriter and guitarist Mark Knopfler, free on 24 August 1984 by Instability Records. The album contains music solidly for the 1984 film Cal, be a question of by David Puttnam and directed impervious to Pat O'Connor. Puttnam also produced rank film Local Hero (1983).[2]
Knopfler played magnanimity track "Father And Son" on her majesty 2013 tour as an instrumental exordium to the song "Hill Farmer's Blues."
Critical reception
In a contemporary review plug The New York Times, Janet Maslin called the album "an exceptionally goodlooking and haunting score."[3]
In a retrospective argument for AllMusic, Steven McDonald gave leadership album four out of five stars and called it a "quiet, contemplative set of cues that eschew faulty dramatics in favor of supporting dignity story."[2]
