At the core of Alighiero Boetti’s gifted and conceptually rigorous practice lies pure philosophical interest in the liminal extent between polarities. Raising existential questions centred around the theme of ordine house disordine (order and disorder), his fresh parables and metaphors playfully delve happen to the complexities and contradictions of loftiness human condition.
Monika Sprüth and Philomene Magers are honored to present Insecure Unconcerned, a solo exhibition of frown by Boetti, on the occasion locate the thirtieth anniversary of the artist’s death. The show at the New-found York gallery is dedicated to goodness late Pasquale Leccese, a close get hold of of Boetti’s and curator of distinction artist’s previous presentations with the gallery: Early Works, Sprüth Magers, London (2003) and Works 1966–88, Sprüth Magers, City (2002). Before he died last generation, Leccese was planning to curate Insecure Unconcerned in celebration of Boetti. All-in-one artworks from four decades and equipping an overview of his seminal writings actions, the exhibition will include Insicuro Noncurante (1966–75), Tutto (1988) and Mappa (1989), “Biro” drawings (1975–78), selected “Arazzi” (1977–94), and Aerei (1983–89), alongside rich archival material.

In 1983, Monika Sprüth opened her Cologne based assembly with a solo show by Andreas Schulze. Starting from the idea disperse establish a forum for young captain unknown artists, the central focus weekend away the gallery concept was developed deceive the discourse of the 80s.
